I'd bet it's a battery issue. In a very quiet room, hold the G Shock up to your ear and hit the light button. Listen for a very faint high-pitched hum/buzz kinda sound. That's the tiny transformer inside converting the battery's charge to ~200V to power the panel. No sound means your transformer may be dead.
While the 12/24-hour setting is C selected, press to switch between the two formats. x If you do not operate any button for a few minutes while a selection is fl ashing, the C fl ashing stops and the watch goes back to the Timekeeping Mode automatically. E-9. Operation Guide 5158.
Nov 5, 2014 · The full auto backlight function is not working. I turned the function on by holding the "G" button and there is the "LT" mark in the upper left corner of the display. I turn all the lights off and the try to spin my wrist like crazy but nothing happens. The battery indicator is on "MID" Maybe that is the problem.
